New Features

• Spotify for Lo-Fi Vibe: Connect the Spotify Mac app from Settings (no login or API key) and the Lo-Fi tile becomes a now-playing card with blurred cover art, song and artist, and previous / play / next. The glow on the tile follows the song: slow songs drift slowly, fast ones move faster.
• Batch screenshots: Keep one frame open and press Capture as many times as you like. Shots are saved as numbered files in their own folder, and thumbnails line up along the bottom so you can open any of them in a larger view.
• Floating tiles: Turn off the menu bar popover background and the tiles float on their own as glass panels.

Improved

• New capture bar: Screen, Window and Area modes, mic and system audio toggles, and a start delay, all in one bar at the bottom of the active screen. Screenshots and Screen Recorder share the same bar.
• Pause, restart and discard: Pause and resume a recording, restart it, or discard it. Live level meters and mute buttons for Mic and System audio while you record.
• Real system audio: The System toggle now records your Mac's audio (it used to only turn on the mic). With Mic also on, both are mixed into one track so every player hears both.
• Window recording: Records the chosen window alone, with an outline that follows it as it moves. The record shortcut now also stops a running recording.
• ⇧⌥ shortcuts: Screenshot and Screen Record can now use Shift + Option + a key. Conflicts with macOS shortcuts and Synapse's own shortcuts are blocked when you pick the key.
• Layout: Show or hide Clipboard and Emoji Picker in the menu bar layout, edit the layout from a shortcut, and a fresh grid layout for the settings.
• Animations: A new light sweep and fill on the Keep Awake toggle, and a scan effect over the image while Get Text reads it.

• Custom Upload Script: Upload screenshots straight to ImgBB, S3, Cloudflare R2, or your own server by writing a small JavaScript function. The returned link is copied to your clipboard automatically, and a one click ImgBB template is built in. Read the docs

Improved

• Screen Recorder is officially out of BETA: Rebuilt on ScreenCaptureKit so the recording toolbar and selection border are excluded from the video itself, even when recording the whole screen.
• Screen Recorder shortcut: Added a customizable keyboard shortcut to instantly start Screen Recorder.

Security & Stability

• Isolated script execution: Upload scripts run in a separate worker process, so a slow or runaway script can never freeze the app or keep burning CPU in the background.
• Encrypted credential storage: Your upload script is stored in the macOS Keychain instead of plain preferences, so any API keys inside it stay encrypted at rest on your device.
• Crash fixes: Fixed a memory corruption crash that could occur after a toast notification appeared, plus layout recursion warnings in the screenshot preview.
